About Us

Meet the Ceebs Team—Lachy and Shak, two Monash students on a mission to change the way uni life works.

How Ceebs started

Ceebs started with a simple problem. My co-founder, Shak, and I were deep in exam prep at LTB when our friend Vansh decided to take a break. We needed food but didn’t want to lose our seats or break our focus. So, we made him an offer—grab our GYG order, and we’d give him five bucks. He agreed instantly. That’s when it clicked. Vansh got some extra cash just for picking up our food, and we got our meal without disrupting our studies. If this worked between friends, why couldn’t it work across campus? What if students could get paid just for helping each other out?

Our mission

Our mission at Ceebs is to make university life more efficient, connected, and rewarding by building a student-powered task marketplace. We know how demanding uni can be—long study sessions, tight schedules, and little time for essentials like food runs or errands. At the same time, many students need flexible ways to earn without disrupting their studies. Ceebs bridges this gap by allowing students to post and complete small tasks for cash, keeping everything within the university community. Unlike traditional services, Ceebs is faster, more convenient, and exclusively for students—ensuring that every job benefits the people who understand campus life best.

Our vision

Our vision for Ceebs is to create a seamless, student-powered marketplace that makes campus life easier and more efficient. Unlike traditional delivery services like UberEats, Ceebs is built for students, by students—no more random Hungry Panda drivers zipping around campus on e-scooters. Instead, Monash students deliver to Monash students, ensuring faster, more reliable, and more affordable services. By keeping everything within the university community, Ceebs saves students time—helping them avoid 30-minute round trips for food or breaking their focus during study sessions. At the same time, it provides a flexible way to earn money between classes, allowing students to make extra cash without leaving campus while staying focused on their studies.

We’ve built Ceebs directly into Discord, making it easy for students to post and complete tasks in a space they’re already familiar with. Over the past few months, we’ve grown rapidly, partnering with Monash communities that collectively reach over 15,000 students. As we continue to expand, our goal is to launch a dedicated app, integrate with Monash Merchant for seamless transactions, and eventually bring Ceebs to more universities. What started as a simple idea is now growing into a movement—where students support students, making campus life more convenient, connected, and rewarding.
